Our Commitment to Starlight
We are pleased to announce our commitment to Starlight with a total donation of over £40,000 to the charity that helps seriously ill children Since they started helping back in 2009.
Starlight Children's Foundation is a charity that uses all of the generous donations they receiver to brighten the lives of seriously and terminally ill children by granting them their dream wishes and providing entertainment to help take their minds off the pain and upset of their illness.
Just one of the many children that have had their dreams realised by the input of Starlight Children's Foundation is eleven year old Michael who is being treated for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Michael's wish was to meet his hero, the wildlife adventurer Nigel Marven. Thanks to Starlight, a trip was arranged for young Michael to visit Nigel's house, where he was able to get face-to-face with many exotic animals, including snakes, lizards and giant tortoises.
Cash Genie offers its customers the chance to donate to this amazing charity. Every time an applicant has their loan deposited they are asked if they wish to donate 50 pence to the charity, which Cash Genie will then match, further increasing the donation and giving more children like Michael the chance to have their dreams realised.
